Who Was Prabhakar Sail & Death Reason? NCB Witness in Aryan Khan Drug Case


Prabhakar Sail, the panch witness for the Narcotics Control Bureau in the Cordelia cruise drug case, died on Friday., April 1, 2022. He died of a heart attack at his home in Chembur’s Mahul neighborhood, according to his lawyer Tushar Khandare. Sail was only 36 at the time of his unfortunate death. Reports claim that Prabhakar was an independent witness and alleged NCB officials of extortion pertaining to the drug case. An official stated on Wednesday that in October 2021, the 36-year-old had recorded his statement in the drug seizure case involving Aryan Khan.

The police officials said that Prabhakar Sail had alleged that he overheard KP Gosavi talking to Sam D’Souza over the phone. Sail had said that Gosavi talked about a demand of Rs 25 crore including Rs 8 crore for Sameer Wankhede. For those unversed, KP Gosavi was another witness in the case while Prabhakar was a bodyguard to him. After becoming an independent witness in the case, the city police provided protection to Prabhakar Sail in the wake of revelations he made in his application.

On October 3, the case made headlines when Shahrukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan was arrested by the NCB. Let us add that Aryan Khan was arrested after a raid on the cruise ship off the Mumbai coast. At that time, the central agency had booked the superstar’s son under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act for consumption, possession, sale/purchase of banned drugs, and conspiracy and abutment.

After being imprisoned for almost a month, the Bombay High Court granted him bail on October 28. The High court had reportedly imposed almost 14 bail conditions on the actor and the other accused including Munmun Dhamecha and Arbaaz Merchant. The duo was also granted bail by HC. Releasing the five-page order, the High Court had said that before the NDPS court, all the three accused will have to surrender their passports. T

he HC said in the five-page decision that the trio must surrender their passports to the NDPS court, that they must not leave India without permission from the special court, and that they must go to the NCB office every Friday between 11 AM and 2 PM to register their presence.
