The FA Cup: The title Klopp is missing to complete his collection at Liverpool #Cup #title #Klopp #missing #complete #collection #Liverpool Welcome to TmZ Blog, here is the new story we have for you today:
Jurgen Klopp has celebrated five of those 49 trophies and should Liverpool beat Chelsea on Saturday at Wembley, he will win his first FA Cup with the Reds.
“Please give us time to do the work but when I sit here in four years, I think we may have one title,” Klopp joked upon his arrival in 2015.
“If not maybe [I’ll win] the next one in Switzerland.”
It took the German tactician three years, eight months and three failed attempts in finals to win his first trophy with Liverpool when they beat Tottenham Hotspur to clinch the Champions League in Madrid back in 2019.
First FA Cup final
Klopp had never reached the FA Cup final before. This year, Liverpool made it to the Carabao Cup, FA Cup and Champions League finals, with the German coach stressing that his players are desperate to lift the trophy at Wembley.
“We’ve always given our all to arrive to the final we just didn’t make it for different reasons,” Klopp said ahead of the final.
“What is clear when you start a journey, you can’t have it all. We didn’t have the squad to go for it all, we had to make changes. Everybody makes changes during the FA Cup and Carabao Cup campaigns.
“We’re really desperate to win it.”
Best winning average
The FA Cup and the Community Shield are the only two titles Klopp has yet to win with Liverpool. He led the Reds to European glory in 2019 and one year later his team clinched the Premier League for the first time in 30 years.
That year, Liverpool also won the European Super Cup and the Club World Cup, with the Reds clinching the Carabao Cup this season after beating Chelsea on penalties.
“We have improved our opportunities obviously with different things, with the players we brought in and to work together for a while of course with more experience,” Klopp said back in 2019.
